What is it?
The accreditation is the process through which an authorized external body publicly
recognizes the academic quality, syllabus and processes and social relevance of the
Faculty of Architecture of Mariano Gálvez University of Guatemala.
This process guarantees the ethical and academic training of future professionals, who
respond to national and international standards in the course of their studies and
professional practice. It is focused:
To permanently compare the work of the Faculty of Architecture with higher benchmarks,
providing communication and interaction between the sectors of society in the search for
higher quality education and social relevance.
To keep a continuous improvement in the teaching and learning process.
To achieve the professional profile required in the national and international
competitive world.
To promote national and international quality parameters.
To satisfy the labor market in the public sector (State organizations), the private
sector (private companies), educational and research institutions and in the liberal
exercise of the profession in accordance with the profile of the graduates.
To observe the fulfillment of the vision, mission and objectives of the faculty.

What is ANPADEH?
The Acreditadora Nacional de Programas de Arquitectura y Disciplinas del Espacio
Habitable A.C., is the formally organism recognized as a non-governmental accrediting
body for higher education academic programmes at undergraduate, university technical or
associate professional levels, on the basis of its technical, legal and financial
capacity.
To train professionals with reflective thinking and critical thinking, scientifically competent and ethically responsible in the area of architecture, generators of creative and socio-economically correct solutions, capable of carrying out research and transmitting knowledge that leads to the integral wellbeing of mankind.
To be the Faculty that trains highly competitive professionals with extensive technological, scientific and innovative knowledge, aware of their environment and society, framed within ethics, ready to contribute to the solution of mankind's spatial needs.

Architect graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Mariano Gálvez with a Master's Degree in Project Management and PhD in Projects at the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana. Member of the 2013 Cohort of -IDC-LA International Course for Deans and Vice-Deans of Latin America, DAAD, in Saarbrücken, Germany. Diploma in Environmental Law and Pedagogical Tools for its Teaching, Tulane University 2012. Specialization Course in Environmental Auditing, USAID-CCAD, 2010. Academic Coordinator of the Faculty of Architecture UMG from 2011 to 2015. Area Coordinator in Architecture and Expression of the UMG Faculty of Architecture from 2011 to 2015. Coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Commission for the Accreditation of the Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from 2010 to date.

Learning
The teaching of Architecture combines design, technique, and sustainability, focusing on solving real-world problems through practical projects. History and theory are studied, complemented by training in digital representation technologies. The methodology encourages interdisciplinary and critical thinking to design spaces that meet social and ecological needs. The aim is to train architects with a holistic vision and cultural commitment.
